Overview

The Chapel of Panagia Theotokou is at the entrance of Kakopetria. It is a small, Byzantine, chapel built in 1514. From a cleft made to the west of the chapel, for the passage of the road to Galata, it reveals that it was then built of brick. The exterior was whitewashed. Its roof is the usual one for the area. It is a wooden two-tiered roof with flat tiles. This structure was preserved from the 13th century.
